New Norcia Benedicine Abbey Western Australia requests your prayers for their last Spanish monk Dom Paulino Gutierrez, osb who died peacefully early this morning (18th Jan) in his 100th year. Dom Paulino was the monastery baker for 50 years, the miller, infirmarian and cobbler. He even made the fireworks for the 1946 centenary year celebrations. He remained to the end a deeply prayerful and innately contented monk. An inspiration to us all.
May he rest in peace.

What a humble and wonderful example for all Christians. May God receive Him into the next stages of Theosis and His Peace.

May the memory of the Lord's servant, the monk Dom Paulino, be eternal
