I came across the term "passionless Passion" today and wondered if someone could explain the meaning for me. It was in a prayer by St. Antiochus. Here is the context: Enlighten my mind with the light of understanding of Thy Holy Gospel; my soul, with the love of Thy Cross; my heart, with the purity of Thy word; my body, with Thy passionless Passion.

A play on words. The Passion of Christ refers to his trial, scourging and crucifixion; but "passionless" refers to the other meaning of the word--impassibility, a transcendent, unchangeable nature not affected by worldly emotions.

Which would be a manifestation of Christ's impassibility.
