I'm currently reading Fr. Alexander Schmemann's "Great Lent: Journey to Pascha." In the appendix, he writes of those sins which must be confessed before receiving Communion: "while certain sins do excommunicate a Christian, some other sins do not lead to this separation from the body of believers and from the participation in the Sacraments" (p. 127).
From an Orthodox perspective, is there a list of sins that incur excommunication? Where might one find this list?
