Dear Arabic readers,

I was given the icon below by a Coptic Orthodox lady. Unfortunately since she doesn't read Arabic she couldn't tell me what the writing says. Can anyone read it for me please? Thank you.

Shlomo Ernest,

It a prayer to the Holy Family. My Arabic is poor, but that what it seems to say to me.

Thanks, Shawn smile

I'd be grateful though if there are other readers of Arabic out there who can give a translation of the prayer. Anyone?

Ernest,

Offhand, Matta or Philippe strike me as the most likely prospects.

Many years,

Neil

It says "The Journey by the Holy Family to Egypt" and then the latter part (i.e., the two words to the right) says: "The Second Millenium"--which I presume to be the name of a group responsible for the production of the icon.
