Glory to Jesus Christ!

This week the Washington Post published an article about the Lenten meals served on Friday evenings at our parish. It is a fund raiser for the Ladies Guild and has been a success for many years.

(We use the term “Lenten” because the primary patrons are members of the regional community, those who probably have not been exposed to what a “Great Fast” is).

Although the article is informative and complimentary, this is one of those times when we are not sure of the benefits. With all the “foodies” in the DC area who enjoy finding new communities to dine, we are expecting an onslaught of our limited resources for the remaining Great Feast Fridays.

But it is a good article. It is only 8:30 AM and I am already hungry.

May you have a most blessed Great Fast.

Deacon El
