Why are Syrian Catholic hierarchs wearing Latin miters? Does it make them feel more Antiochian?

Isn't it time and passed time for us to execute the mandate of Vatican II that we take pains to return to ancestral tradition. The 'constitution' of the Russian Catholic Church is 'nec plus, nec minus, nec aliter' (Neither more, nor less, nor in any other way [than the Orthodox Church]. Let all the Eastern Catholic Churches follow this courageous path!

I'm on board, but, inexplicably, that is a "hard sell" in certain places!

Don't the Armenian bishops also wear Latin-style (Saturn 5) mitres?

Yes, the bishops of the Armenian Apostolic Church often wear Latin style mitres. You can see lots of them on Google images.
