Is there a list, an official list, if possible, of Institutes of Apostolic Life? The things found online are not that convincing...

Any information can be helpful! Thank you!

LS,

I believe that the only place you will find a complete, definitive, listing would be in a copy of the Vatican yearbook, Annuario Pontificio.

You'll want to better define exactly which listing you want as the terminology you're using appears to mix two related, but different, groups: the Institutes of Consecrated Life and the Societies of Apostolic Life. See here [vatican.va] for the differences between the two.

As far as finding a current copy of AP (which is in Latin only, unless something has changed very recently), you might check the library of a seminary or of a major Catholic college or university. Otherwise, you might be able to review one at the chancery of your diocese or eparchy.

Hope this helps.

Many years,

Neil
