I am going on vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC this summer. Anyone know if there's a Byzantine church in that area?

Anna,

There is a Byzantine Catholic Community that meets 3 times a year. This is the only one. The next scheduled liturgy is in September. When will you be down in Myrtle Beach out of curiosity?

God bless!

Yeah, the preparation tables are already there and I understand the ikonostas is on it's way.

Can't wait to see pics of the complex!

If y'all need someone to come down and cantor your liturgies from time to time, I'm in Atlanta and can make the trip.

The new place is located at:

3059 Highway 90
Myrtle Beach/Conway, SC.

For more info, please contact:
Don & Jean Worth
712 Creek Front Road
North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582
843-249-9502

I know that they are looking for donations of all kinds of items for the both the church and the parish house if anyone wishes to contact for more information.

The ikonostas is there as are the preparation tables, I also understand that they were given a Gospel Book. I know they're looking for other Liturgical items such as a chalice, ripidia, candle stands, candle sticks, etc...

Hope this helps....

SLAVA ISUSU CHRISTU!

Just found out this morning that this community has been named by Bishop William. It now know as BLESSED BASIL HOPKO MISSION.

There will be Divine Liturgy offered this Tuesday, August 24,2010 at 5pm.
