Quick question for everyone. My wife and I are moving soon, possibly close to where I'm from. I'm a convert to the faith and where I'm from there are very few catholics let alone byzantine ones... However, not to far from my hometown there is a listing for "Byzantine Catholic Eparchy" in Clarksville Va... Does anyone know what this is? As far as I know there is no Byzantine Church there, even though it is listed with a VA phone number under churches(called it and no answer)... Is this land owned by an Eparchy and is a future mission territory?

DrAnt,

Good to see a post from you. I'm going to leave the definitive answer on this to one of our Virginians, but there is no parish or mission in Clarksville. I just searched it and found the same listings that you cited, but am clueless as to what is being referenced.

Address is 1343 W Orgainsville Rd, Clarksville, VA 23927, which looks to be out in Mecklenburg County - way too distant from any of the VA churches to be a priest's residence (closer to NC, in fact). I don't see any listing in the Catholic Directory to suggest Passaic has any non-church site there. That doesn't mean the Eparchy doesn't own a piece of land there, however.

I'll be curious to see the results of this query.

Many years,

Neil

DrAnt,

Glory to Jesus Christ!

According to Google Maps, you are 75 miles (1 hour 26 minutes) from our parish in Cary NC.

Their contact information is
Ss. Cyril & Methodius
2510 Piney Plains Road
Cary, NC 27511
Phone: 919-851-9266

You would be very welcome at a visit to that parish.

Deacon El
