Beautiful orlets on the home page. I didn't know they let uniaty hang out with them.
I hope they taught you more than just Bakhmatev settings.

U-spot the uniate in the ROCOR crowd - that brings back memories of finding the popes in the pizza of Father Guido Sarducci (showing my age here).

Michael!!
My weakness is Holy Virgin Cathedral bookstore!!! The Cathedral is out-of-this-world and it is so beautiful going to the Shrine of St John there. I try to get there as often as I can and I have some friends at Holy Trinity OCA Cathedral and we make "Ortho" tours in the City every so often.
We have to meet up sometime!

Jordanville and its monastery are beautiful; the pictures are enjoyable. But before I can play "spot the uniate", I would need a definition of this term. Any ideas? Incognitus

What did happen in China?
Martyrdom, arrests, and other persecution.
Holy Martyrs of China, pray for us.

My Old Church Slavonic/Church Slavonic Professor, Reader Joseph is in that top Photo, to the left of the Metropolitan. He teaches Russian at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and is choir director and Reader at St Basil's in St Louis. He is another one from these parts that travells two hours for Vigils and Liturgies.

Yes, Jordanville is a very special place. Mnohaja Lita to Vladyka Laurus. Mnohaja Lita to Father Laurence and all of the other monks for their toil, prayer and translations.
They have made many gems available in English from Slavonic such as the Unabbreviated Horologion, the small Jordanville Prayer Book and many other great books through their St. Job of Pochaiv print shop. Their liturgical life and music are incomparable. Heaven on earth.

Dear Friends, "Spot the uniat?" You mean ROCOR is into putting spots on visiting uniats so they'll know to keep some distance from them? And what are "uniats" of the Ukrainian Catholic Church doing with a group that denies its right to exist as either "Ukrainian" or "Catholic?" Oh, all right, I won't burst your bubble . . . Da? Alex
