Today, at the end of Divine Liturgy, we were informed that Fr. Damon Geiger, who has been serving as our resident parochial administrator, is being recalled to ministry in the Melkite Church and will be leaving St. Basil's as of Sept. 30, 2010.

He is being replaced by Fr. Daniel Forsythe, who will become our pastor on the feast of the Protection of the Theotokos: Oct. 1, 2010.

We are all grateful to Fr. Damon for his brief yet blessed ministry among us; and we look forward to being served by Fr. Daniel, with whom we got acquainted during a few weeks shortly after his ordination to the priesthood.

Everybody - please keep on praying for and with us as we continue our journey toward the Kingdom of God. Thank you!

Christ in Among us!

I believe St. Basil's is a parish of the Eparchy of Parma of the Ruthenian Catholic Church.

Actually, St Basil's is a parish of the Archeparchy of Pittsburgh, which has Texas as its westernmost geographic region.

Prayers for St Basil's and its new pastor. It's good to hear that Father Damon will be returning to the service of the Melkite Eparchy; we lost him to the needs of his religious order a few years back and it was, indeed, a loss.

Many years,

Neil
