Harrison,
Just so as not to derail this thread from its focus on getting a mission going in OK, I'd suggest that you copy and paste your opening paragraphs into a new thread in the Faith & Worship forum.

James, I'll add this to the mission page here and to the directory this weekend. If you could e-mail a reminder to me at ec_parish_webmaster@yahoo.com, it would be a service to my overtaxed memory. Many years, Neil

Christ is Risen!
It would always be a blessing to have more Eastern and Oriental Churches in Oklahoma. I was born there.
In Christ God,

There will be no Divine Liturgy for the month of June or July. Fr. Philip is in the midst of moving to another parish. The Divine Liturgy will resume in August, but will now be the first Sunday of the month in Norman.

Just a reminder that the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in Norman, OK at St. Mark the Evengelist Catholic Church at 6PM on Sunday September 5th.
I will be there (finally I have Sundays off) and I hope to see anyone who is willing to make it.

The Divine Liturgy for the Exaltation of the Cross will be September 14 at 6PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawton, OK.
And to be announced later.... The celebration of the Divine Liturgy will rotate on a monthly basis between Norman and Lawton. A schedule will follow as soon as I get one from Fr. Philip.

Please come to the Divine Liturgy if you can. We have invited members of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Wichita Falls, TX to come and join us in prayer.

We had a very beautiful divine liturgy and some new people came. I was asked to serve at the last minute, but it all came back to me as soon as "Blessed is the kingdom of the Father..." was chanted.

The Divine Liturgy will celebrated on October 3 at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church in Norman, OK at 6PM.
I'm not sure if we are an "official" mission/group of the Archeparchy yet, but I believe that we are well on the way.

James,
Delighted to hear that there were some new attendees. I gather that there isn't yet a fixed place in which to worhip?

Well it was at St. Mark's in Norman, but now that Fr. Philip is in Lawton is will more than likely be moved to Holy Family in Lawton, maybe.
This is one of the issues being decided.
