Dear Group,

I have several Old Riualist books I am looking to put into safe homes. I thought I would post a list here before resorting to Ebay.

If you are interested, please contact me at gabriel dot s dot sanchez at gmail dot com. I can supply photos, details, and work out a reasonable price there. Also, I am willing to cut a deal if anyone is willing to take the whole set or a substantial number of the items.

Chasoslov (Oversized) - Church Slavonic Orthography
- This is a beautiful blue-covered oversized book that has been lightly used for the last several years. It features all of the services contained in the Erie English translation of the Horologion, including a full Menologion (Troparia/Kontakia for the entire liturgical year).

Apostol (Regular Sized) - Church Slavonic Orthography
- This is a "portable" Apostol which is roughly the size of a regular book. All of the liturgical readings for the given year are here, including a lectionary and the appropriate Psalmic verses. Lightly used.

Evangelie (Regular Sized) - Church Slavonic Orthography
- Similar to the Apostol in size. This has everything you need for the daily readings.

Psaltir - Church Slavonic Orthography
- Lightly used, green cover. The text is oversized to facilitate reading.

Kanonik - Modern Russian Orthography
- A large selection of canons for Molebens. The text includes the order of the Moleben and detailed instructions for how the different classes of canons are to be recited.

Molitvoslov - Modern Russian Orthography
- Lightly used prayer book with a different evening/morning prayer rule than what is found in the popular Old Orthodox Prayer Book. The book also includes a large selection of canons, including the Great Canon of St. Andrew, and most of the daily services and troparia/kontakia. This is a "one size fits all" prayer book with far more material than the Erie version.

Old Orthodox Prayer Book (1st Edition) - Slavonic/English
- Rare! This is a good condition copy of the out-of-print first edition. There are some textual variants and, unlike the 2nd edition, this text includes the Akathist to Sweetest Jesus incorporated into the canon in the same way the Akathist Canon to the Mothe of God is set out. The text also includes excerpts from A Son of the Chuch and some rules of piety which were dropped from the second edition.

In addition, I also have some non-Old Rite books which may of interest, including:

- A 6-volume Church Slavonic lexicon with translations into modern Russian, Greek, and Latin. The first volume covers the Psalter and the remaining five covers the entire New Testament. The edition I have is a reprint from the 1890 edition and it is in excellent shape.

- A hand-held Jordanville Psaltir in Church Slavonic Orthogrphy that is long out-of-print

- A pocket Psalter in modern Russian orthography

- A hand-held Horologion in Church Slavonic orthography

- A hand-held Great Chasoslov according to the Ruthenian Rite which was printed in Vienna in the 1960s

I have other books as well, so if you're interested, please ask.

Who printed the Old Rite books? How much do you want for the Chasolov? and how much for the Psaltir?

Eucherius,

The printing house(s) is an appropriate question for reply in the thread. As to the amounts that the offerer might be asking or willing to consider - please address those questions to him via the e-mail address that he kindly listed in the opening post; we're not conducting an on-line auction here. Thanks.

Many years,

Neil

The first edition binding and print quality is superior, in my opinion. The Akathist to Sweetest Jesus is also included, which is a superior English translation than the Jordanville translation, which was dropped in the second edition.
