Sheldon, the grandfather of my two youngest, will undergo heart surgery in a couple of hours and his prognosis is complicated by other health issues. He is a dear friend, a kind, gentle, bear of a man, ordinarily fearless, but very frightened by these circumstances. I ask that you please remember him in your prayers. Thank you.

Sorry Neil--I just saw this.
I pray that the surgery went well, and my prayers go to Heaven for Sheldon's recovery to go well...through the intercessions of all the saints he holds dear.

Thank you all for your prayers. Surgery went well insofar as they were able to clear one blockage; some complications prevented doing all that they intended, so another surgery will be forthcoming - unscheduled as yet. But, he's home and recovering nicely.
