Yes, in fact, I'm a borderline schismatic with Orthodox tendencies. :p By the way, anybody who needs to use a in their first self-penned message is a prime candidate for writing off in my book. Consider yourself served!

Dear Friends,
Personally, I think we should all await the judgement of the Administrator/Moderator on this offensive post before proceeding any further here.
Just my view . . .

In reading this thread I am not sure how to respond.
Steve D. raises issues that are worthy of discussion but I agree with Fr. Elias that posters should post their own thoughts and arguments rather than just post lengthy articles someone else has written.
Dmitri's “blessing” for AmChurch evidences that those who hurl the AmChurch pejorative only succeed in making themselves look like extremists, relegating their arguments to worthy of only dismissal.
Since Steve D. is new to the Forum I am willing to allow a little more rope but trust that each moderator will take any action he thinks appropriate.

Dear Administrator,
Thank you for your erudition!
For Steve D.'s information, I AM a supporter of the "M-Church" or the Melkites.

It is apparent that Steve D. has never read Orientalium Dignitas from Pope Leo XIII, who should be his hero because of his famous treatise against the Freemasons. I would mention Orientalium Ecclesiarum from Vatican II and Orientale Lumen from the current Pontiff but I'm just guessing he's the kind of guy that would reject anything post-1962. Maybe the AM Church is all those who use Aramaic (Syriac) - Chaldeans, Syrians, Maronites, Malankars - cool, I'm for them since that was the vernacular our Lord and Savior spoke.

Any condemnation of Freemasonry is appropriate, no matter your Christian persuation.

Dear Columcille,
Aren't freemasons the guys who'll fix the church steps for free?
When I worked for a Catholic separate school board, I was asked by the Chaplain to refrain from saying anything about freemasons, as there were high-ranking Catholic school gurus who were members - with the O.K. of their bishop.
