Wow, my second post here. I am a RC and I have been learning about church history/theology over the last three years and I have learned much about the RCC and OC but I want to know more about the ECC. I have already been able to visit a ByzCath church and I have grown very fond of the Eastern side of Christianity over the last couple years. Almost so that I see myself as heading towards Eastern Christianity, except that the nearest ECC is 4.5 hours away.
Anyway......I know the history of the ECC but what is gray to me because of many misleading statements is what the ECC says about or how it sees' certain dogmas of the RCC. Does this make sense? I will start off with this one, and then ask another down the road.
For example: What does the ECC say about OS vs AS. Is there any difference between the two in the Eastern Side of the Catholic Church? Does the ECC believe in AS as their Orthodox brother do and if so how does this coincide with the doctrine of OS?
Just trying to wrap my head around all of this.......as the best I can anway..............
