The article says all the bishops are obliged to participate in the synod. Does this include auxiliaries and retired? Does it include Patriarch Lubomyr?

If I have understood canon 11 of the Particular Law of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church [ archeparchy.ca] correctly, all active bishops (eparchial bishops, coadjutor bishops, exarchs, administrators, auxiliaries and curial bishops) have the right to a deliberative vote. Retired bishops, presumably including His Beatitude Lubomyr, do not.

I suppose the members of the synod all have the right to reside in the Republic, if they are from o'seas and get elected.
