I had applied back in June for a new job outside of EMS, one that pays more and I can start a family on. Last week I went to all the interviews and passed. I have recieved a conditional offer of employment and just need to go through the medical testing and physicals. After that, it becomes a full offer and I'm expected too start in January.

I've been praying for this for a long time. I'm burned out of EMS and I want to make a decent living wage to raise a family, be able to send them to catholic school, and finish my own education.

Please keep me in your prayers and pray for my continued success in the next steps of the employement process.

Peace,
James

Dear James,

I pray that God will continue to bless you in your life and your employment, and that He will enable you to earn the wage needed to start and raise a Christian family...

In Christ,
Alice

Prayers for our brother's search for new employment that will assist him to meet his goals for his future, prayers that the testing goes well and that the conditional offer is acted upon favorably.

Through the prayers of St. John Bosco, may the desires of your heart be granted. Jesus quickly bring this all to fruition for our brother! Thank you JESUS!

Thank you everyone for your prayers. Just an update, I have passed my vision screening and medical exam. My hearing is far worse than I thought (thank you US Navy), my right ear is at 50-75% hearing loss while my left is around 25% now. But, it doesn't disqaulify me for the job; just means I have to wear a decent pair of ear plugs at work.

On 12/7, I'll be going to the physcial therapist's office to show that I can perform the essential functions of the job. Should go well!

BTW, this job is for Goodyear North America at their Lawton, OK tire plant. I would be working on the line and for the first responders/fire brigade.

Thank you,
James

It turns out that I did not get the original position that I applied for, so I have been substitute teaching for the last three months to make an income. I have found that I enjoy teaching so much that I have deccided to finally finish my BA in Secondary Education with and emphasis in Social Studies.

The Lord does work in mysterious ways, I prayed for a job, but it wasn't the one "I" was expecting. I only have about a year and a half left to finish my B.A. I'm very excited and look forward to being able to have my own class I can teach everyday.

Peace,
James

Prayers for James' success in his decision to return to school and pursue a career in teaching - such a valuable and important role to undertake.

So blessed to read how things have developed for you. Surely God is in it all. Praying for your continued good guidance from the Holy Spirit and that you be enabled to persevere. My first degree was a B.Ed (secondary education and also social studies). I loved teaching. So will you.

in Christ,
porter. smile
