Please remember in your prayers Father Deacon Michael Savko, who is terminal with cancer. [Some of you may remember Father Deacon Michael. He served originally at Annunciation in Anaheim, CA (BCC) for many years with then Fr. (and later Bishop) George Kuzma, of blessed memory, and then later at St. Gabriel's (OCA) in Ashland, OR (where we got to know him) and lately at St. Herman's in Oxnard, CA.]

May the Lord bless and hold Deacon Michael in His hands, give him strength for the battle before him, and preserve him from pain and suffering.

Thanks for the prayers so far. Sadly, this morning Fr. Deacon Michael fell asleep in the Lord.

Eternal memory!

May the Holy Protomartyr and Deacon Stephen receive his brother and lead him to the Holy Table, that he might fulfill his office unto eternity. Lord, give rest to Thy servant, the Deacon +Michael, in a place of light and love where there is no pain sorrow or mourning, but only light and life everlasting! And may his memory be eternal!

Just got back from the Panachida. I am still surprised at the quickness everything happened.I'll be there for the funeral tomorrow.
