Which is exactly why it was suggested a couple of years back that you should ask formally to become RC - that would then have given you the identity of Latin Catholicism and perhaps all these doubts would never have come to you.

The answer is simple- Then just be a Latin Catholic. One doesn't need to change rites to do so. We have many officially Latin rite Catholics who are members of our Byzantine Catholic Parish and have no intention of making the official change of rite. They follow our fasting rules, holy days, ect. No piece of paper is going to stop them from being Byzantine Catholics. So just attend your parish and be happy worshiping God as best suits you, which you say is the Latin Catholic way.
