Well, I'll be relying on AC for sure! But, still, I'm looking forward to seeing PA and hoping it cools down a little. Thanks again for all the suggestions!

Just to say once again thanks for the suggestions I've received both here and in PMs. We're headed out tomorrow for our trip. Prayers requested!

As proud Dad, here's [youtube.com] a clip of our son at a recent performance. (The microphone was not set up correctly so you've got to ignore some distortion.) He'll be doing more studies at Penn State in tuba performance.

Welcome to "Happy Valley"!
Penn State Main Campus is located in a very beautiful part of Pennsylvania.
Good luck to your talented son - he's made an excellent choice.
P.S. Penn State football is an exciting experience too.

I offered to go to State College since he would be passing by to accompany him to help to locate and move....but haven't heard anything. He should be there by now and making a decision on boarding.

He checked in on Facebook on Tuesday, and said he be in PA Wednesday. I think the whole family's with him, so they are probably just busy and not online at the moment.

Indeed, we made it here on Wednesday. Thanks to all for the offers of help and suggestions. I haven't had Internet access until today so I'm just catching up on things. Our son found an apartment in State College and is settling down into it. We are now in a motel in State College and hope to visit Holy Trinity tomorrow morning for Liturgy.

We drove out to Penn Caves this afternoon for a little diversion and enjoyed it immensely.

We're very glad it's cooled down from a few weeks ago but it is more humid than we're used to out West. Still, Pennsylvania is very beautiful!

We'll probably stay here through Monday or Tuesday and start home soon after.

David,

Glad to hear that you made it safely. Prayers for a safe return trip as well.

Many years,

Neil

Many thanks! We have greatly enjoyed our time here in State College but will be heading home today.
