Slava Isusu Khrestu

To-day, for me, did not start out well but I shall accept the problems and ask the Lord to hear my prayers for Fr. Deacon Stan.

Thank you dear Kolya, thank you all for your prayers.

They are going to have to look at his heart first before they can do anything with his foot. I don't think he will allow them to take it. Only God knows?

Well guess I will go back to the hospital. Dr. Doing arterogram, angeoplasty, and more to Fr. Deacon Stan's legs today. He has so many blockages, he has little circulation. Wounds have developed on his left foot, not good. Hopefully by God's grace this is going to work. He started vomiting last Thursday a week ago, apparently, so many underlying causes that have come about in just months.

Dearest Pani Rose,
You are in my heart dear sister, and be assured of my prayers for you and your beloved, who is suffering so...
May God comfort you and your family. You are our inspiration, and my soul bows to you in humility and respect for your great faith in times of trial, and your beautiful spirit.
We love you,

My hubby's foot is still swollen, but they were able to stand him up without his blood pressure taking a nose dive. He took three steps on his own, and sat up for over an hour. PRAISE GOD! It sounds like they may still have to do a bypass on the lower part of his leg, but they were able to take three large areas of plaque out of his upper leg, that was blocking it to the point of no blood flow. So hopefully we never hear the word amputate again. He told them, they would not take his foot, which would have meant danger of gang green setting in.

Take care of yourself if you are a diabetic, it can be a very wicked disease, it hides. He did farely well at following the rules, but he would get tired of fighting like everyone and quit now and then. He even walked four miles three to four days week a year ago. Then he got to where he couldn't walk.

Like the guy on the commercial says, check your blood sugar and check it often. UNDERSTAND, type 2 diabetics, it is not that you produce too much insulin in your body, but that your body rejects the insulin it produces. So it is not absorbing it the way it should, that is why your glucose levels go too high. If your are hypoglycemic watch that too, keep your levels up, so you can prevent diabetes later on.

You know, he has been in there since last Thursday a week ago. As we were going to the monthly prayer meeting Mass, he got really sick, so I called the paramedics, we took him to St. Vincents. So God has his ways!

Also, the miracle at our daughters wedding last Sunday the seventeenth, was in forty minutes time, the other deacon and our photographer, got things set up & rather miraculously With my iPad and the photographers iPhone - that Fr. Deacon Stan and the nursing staff at the hospital watched the crowning on my iPad! HE SAW IT IN REAL TIME! Fr. Michael, as all this was going on, at about the time it all started, had been at the hospital praying with deacon Stan, that God would make away for him to be able to see the wedding. GOD PROVIDED!

Rose

Y'all! Your prayers are working. wink

Praise the Lord!

Deacon Stan is going to Lakeshore tomorrow!!!
One of the best rehabs in the United States, this ought to get him back on his feet.
Lakeshore [lakeshore.org]
They happened to just have an open bed!

He can stand without his blood pressure crashing, and he has good circulation in his leg and foot.  He is still gonna need more work - well maybe - but he is on his way back!

They have adjusted his insulin and BP medicines, they started from scratch.  That should keep his sugar from dropping/crashing when I give him insulin.  We have gone from 40 & 15, to 12 units!

Amazing, and I have been asking each doctor why?  Now we know!

Praise God!

An update...he has been in the hospital again. They were able to gat a vein from Atlanta, and have successfully restored the blood flow to his leg and foot. His toe is black, and they have to address that, but things are looking better.

My stupid asthma finally put me in the hospital Monday. Really though, it is truly amazing that I have been able to do what I have done this past year physically, with the wedding thrown on top of it. So I am still flat on my back in here, but just maybe I have to get better to be able to help him more.

I still believe he will eventually get to return to serving the Church physically again, as he serves it in prayer and suffering.

God bless you all!

Prayers for the quick recovery of Deacon Stan and, likewise, for the quick recovery of our beloved friend and sister, Pani Rose.
