Hi folks, as some of you may know, I'm a curious RC who has an interest in the Eastern Rites, both Catholic and EO.

Anyway, what is the make up of the Irish UGCC membership? Are people mainly Eastern European themselves or are there any Irish born parishoners?

Anhelyne (Our Lady's Slave) has told me alot about you and says nothing but good things abour Fr Serge and your services...:)

I too am a RC interested in eastern christianity . I waited a year before going. I wish I hadn't waited! Go and experience it. Don't over analyze it. Just do it. I am sure they are welcoming. Get there early and stay afterwards. You won't regret it.

Thank you Dave. When I read your name first I nearly passed out as I know a Dave McKinney biggrin

Thank you for the encouragement.

Of course I meant Anhelyna. Apologies for the typo. I'm still getting used to this new laptop...

Come and be welcome - beidh failte romhat i gconai!

Sunday Divine Liturgy is at Holy Cross College, Drumcondra, in the former seminarians chapel, at 10 AM, in Ukrainian.

The large majority of parishioners are Ukrainians; there are also a few Russians, and some Irish faithful.

In July to mid-August, attendance is very low; many of the faithful are visiting their families in Ukraine this time of year. From Pentecost until Transfiguration, that is the way of things.

Thank you Father Serge.

Anhelyna has told me alot about you and your services. I would gladly visit in the future. I know a few Ukranian people in Dublin through work but am not sure if theyare UGCC or Orthodox to be honest.

I am very impressed with your Gaeilge. Tá sé go maith...:)
