Memory Eternal

With the souls of the righteous, give rest, O Savior, to the soul of Your servant departed, Deacon Stan, in a place of brightness, a place of green pastures, a place of repose, from whence all sickness, sorrow and, sighing have fled away, and where the sight of Your Face enlightens, gladdens, and sanctifies that life of Yours that is lived by the saints whom You have gathered from all the ages. Grant him a place at the table at Your Wedding Feast in the Kingdom. AMEN.

O God of spirits and of all flesh,
Who have trampled death, and overthrown the devil,
and granted life to Your world;
now, O Lord,
give rest to the souls of Your servant, the deacon Stan,
who has fallen asleep,
in a place of light,
a place of green pasture,
a place of refreshment,
whence all pain, sorrow, and sighing have fled away.

O God, as You are good and the Lover of Mankind,
forgive every sin committed by him,
in word or deed or thought,
for there is no man who lives and who does not sin.
For You alone are without sin,
Your righteousness is everlasting righteousness,
and Your word is truth.

For You are the resurrection and the life,
and the repose of Your servant, Deacon Stan,
who has fallen asleep, O Christ our God,
and to You we send up glory,
together with Your Father, Who is without beginning,
and Your all-holy, good, and life-creating Spirit,
now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Vičnaja jemu pamjat!

Prayers also for Pani Rose and their entire family.

O God of all spiritual and corporeal beings, You Who trampled death, broke the power of Satan and granted life to the whole world, now, O Lord, grant rest in a place of light, freshness, and peace, where there is no pain, sorrow, or mourning to the soul of Your departed servant, the Deacon Stan, whom You have taken to Yourself.

As You are a gracious God and the Lover of mankind, remember his many years of service to You, forgive him every transgression committed by word, deed, or thought, as there is no man alive who has not sinned, for You alone are without sin and You are the Resurrection and the Life, O Christ our God, and we render glory to You, together with Your Eternal Father, and Your most Holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever and forever. Amen.

May his memory be eternal and blessed.

Prayers for the comfort of our beloved sister and friend, Rose, their children and grandchildren, and also the clergy and parishioners of St George's, whom he so loved and served with devotion.

May the Holy Protomartyr and Deacon Stephen receive his brother and lead him to the Holy Table, that he might fulfill his office unto eternity. Lord, give rest to Thy servant, the Deacon +Stan, in a place of light and love where there is no pain sorrow or mourning, but only light and life everlasting! And may his memory be eternal!

‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” (Rev. 21:4-5)

My heartfelt prayers for Pani Rose and the precious ones who have lost and will miss their beloved father, grandfather, deacon, and friend.
