Please pray for Fr. Deacon Robert Pride of St. Ignatios Melkite Church in Augusta, Georgia who is in a coma right now and appears near the end of his earthly life according to doctors. Fr. Dcn. Bob has been suffering from a Parkinson's like condition for several years and has borne his pain and suffering with great faith and has been an inspiration to so many. Please pray for him and his family, especially for his beloved wife Carol who has been his caregiver during these difficult years. Fr. Deacon Bob was ordained to the diaconate on February 24, 2007. May Our Loving Lord and Savior pour out his mercy on Fr. Deacon Bob and his family, especially now.

Prayers for Deacon Robert, that his final hours be at peace as he prepares to be greeted by the Holy Protomartyr Stephen, patron of the order of Deacons and to be led to the Holy Table at which he will serve for eternity.

It is with sadness and joy that I must inform you that Deacon Bob Pride fell asleep in the Lord today in the early morning hours (Sept. 10). Fr. Damian has been with him and his family. We will have a memorial service for him tomorrow after Divine Liturgy and have further details about other arrangements after church. O Christ God with the Saints, grant rest to the soul of your servant.

May the memory of the Lord's servant, Deacon Robert, be eternal. May be be greeted by his brother deacons of the Melkite Church who have gone before him and by the Holy Protomartyr Stephen, Patron of the Order of Deacons, and serve forever at the Holy Table of Heaven.
Prayers for Pani Carol and all of his family, as well as his spiritual family, the parishioners of St Ignatios.
