I wonder what the reaction would be if it became common knowledge that the pill periodically causes abortions.
As for the name, it refers to the "Have mercy on me..." psalm. Which brings up another question, possibly best addressed elsewhere: At one time, "Roman Catholic" psalms were numbered differently than "Protestant" psalms (which you seem to indicate is still the case for--at least some--Eastern Catholics. My old Douay-Rheims bible has them numbered that way.). Now, for example, Psalm 23 is the same for both R.C.'s and Protestants. When did this change, and did this change for Eastern Catholics?
