A few weeks ago there were a couple threads regarding the controversy of Humanae Vitae, Pope Paul's encyclical regarding birth control. Regardless of whether one think it was right or wrong, you may be interested in this latest study confirming that injected birth control increases the chance of women passing on HIV to sexual partners. http://www.ncregister.com/blog/matt...the-environment-and-bankrupt-the-economy

Should you doubt the integrity of NCR, please read the New York Times (hardly a bastion of conservative thinking) http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/04/health/04hiv.html

Here is the opening paragraph: The most popular contraceptive for women in eastern and southern Africa, a hormone shot given every three months, appears to double the risk the women will become infected with H.I.V., according to a large study published Monday. And when it is used by H.I.V.-positive women, their male partners are twice as likely to become infected than if the women had used no contraception.

Other studies show that contraceptives adversely affect women's memories. You won't read much about these stories on Yahoo News or other internet news sites, they are too busy propagandizing "gay rights."

Thank you so much for sharing this information. Most people don't realize how dangerous hormonal contraceptives can be for a woman's health. The studies are abundant; they are not publicized for political reasons.

OF COURSE, the real problem, unless Im branded nwo for life as a Luoon, is that we out too much stock in the supposeldy Rational Ideas of Modernism, which we mistakenlythink are Scientific and Eternally True, over the Mytsical nonsense of the Church.

Its so engraiend as a Narrative in our Heads that even many in the Church beleive this.

But, usally the Churhces stances, when codified into actual Docttriens, are proven Correct.

Immorality will always elad to unexpected failures. But we turn a blidn eye as it doenst match the utopian fantasies we store in our heads about Hedonistic self expression.

I have elarned my lessosn on these matters, the Church, in all Official Pronouncements, is Right. The world tends toward Sin and erro.
