I've posted pictures of this parish before, but the interior was painted recently and it seemed worth posting an updated view for any interested. I stitched three photos together of the interior and it is posted here [flickr.com].

The parish sanctuary was built in the mid 1960's and was a split from St. Michael's in Mont Clare, PA in the 1930's.

Pretty. You have a vault ceiling. Any plans to decorate it? Also, what's the roof line like on the outside?

The barrel vaulting has a sloped roof over it. There is a picture of the side of the building here [flickr.com]. You can see the building itself is something of a shoebox, there is no extending transept to form a cross. The dome in the picture replaced an earlier one.

I think the iconostasis, stained glass, pews and kneelers were all there from day one. Later some murals to the side of iconostasis and on the ceiling that you can't see were added; along with the chandeliers and lastly I think the icon portraits in the apse. Early pictures looked pretty bare.

My guess is repairs and upgrades to the physical plant will out prioritize additional decoration for some time to come.

The picture titles are exactly as the cornerstone reads.
