Bless, Father Jim,

Very nice. I'm really impressed by the efforts of the Pittsburgh area parishes to make folks aware of our churches, Father Valerian's series of classes on Eastern Catholic Churches in Pittsburgh being held this month, and now, your open house.

For anyone looking to attend the Open House and needing directions, see the map on St Stephen's directory entry

Many years,

Neil

Thanks Neil,

We were blessed with over 150 guests during Open House. The guests represented, Byzantines who have lost contact with the church, neighboring Roman and Byzantine Catholics and several seekers. All in all, the Lord blessed our open doors. I highly recommend parishes to offer Open House Opportunities.

Bless, Father Jim,

Wonderful turnout! Sounds to me as if you've got an idea that would be worth suggesting to other parishes.

Many years,

Neil

And let me use this thread as an example to suggest that, when members do post about a parish event, they post afterwards and let us know how it went from a standpoint of attendance and links to (or at least reference to) any local media coverage they might have gotten.

I think that doing so would help others assess the value of different types of presentations and encourage them in pursuing similar activities.

Many years,

Neil

What some people are saying about Open House...

It was nice to see so many people for the Open House.  I think it was a huge success.

Congratulations on a wonderful program and getting our church some recognition besides being the "pirohy" church.

What a great day it was this Sunday. It makes us proud to be a member of St Stephen's.

I heard about the open house at St. Stephen's at the Day of Recollection at St. Emma's.  The experience was life changing!  My sister and I came and soaked up all we could and are so grateful for the experience.

I shared with my parish Music Director who also chairs our Worship Committee.  She has asked that I do a presentation for the Committee!  The experience of how the people are active participants throughout the Liturgy was a real eye-opener!

The video we saw in the beginning was so good.

Thank you for making the Open House available!  Each day I continue to unpack pearls from the experience! And I trust the experience will continue to bear fruit!

Bless, Father Jim,

I certainly wasn't suggesting by my post that you needed to say more. It was actually your feedback that gave me the idea to request it of others. That said, thank you for this wonderful compilation of remarks on the Open House. Hopefully, they will inspire others.

Many years,

Neil
