Happy feast day of the Conception of St. Anne when she conceived the all-holy Theotokos and Ever-virgin Mary. The Church celebrates three feasts of conception: that of our Lord and God and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 25 with His birth celebrated exactly nine months later on December 25. Since He is perfect God and perfect Man His was the perfect gestation of nine months exactly. The Theotokos' conception is celebrated on December 9 with her birth nine months less one day on September 8. The conception of the holy, glorious prophet and forerunner, John the Baptist's conception is celebrated on September 23 with his birth nine months plus one day on June 24. This is the Catholic faith; this is the Orthodox faith; this is the true faith that has made the world firm: it shall never be moved! Glory to God for all things!
