Each Orthodox Patriarch mentions at the Great Entrance ALL the other Patriarchs and primates of the Orthodox Churches. You can check the internet for this. I saw 6 of them celebrating alone, and each mentioned all the others.
Very interesting. I don't see why the Catholic patriarchs would not also commemorate each other in the Great Entrance.
No, the Eastern Catholic Churches are obliged by the Canon Law to mention the Pope of Rome as to make difference between them and the Orthodox.
I never said they were not.
The
taxis of the Catholic Church is the same as the Orthodox Church in regards to the order of Patriarchs (especially the ancient Patriarchates). If/when the the reunion of the Orthodox and Catholic Churches happen the
taxis will not change- since in the Orthodox Church the Pope of Rome holds the first place in the
taxis. If/when the Roman Church re-enters communion with the East the Pope will again assume the first place in the Orthodox
taxis.
Now how that works is still being worked out in the Catholic/Orthodox dialogue.
