Those of you who might be attending the Super Bowl or events in Indianapolis the week before February 5 might want to check out St. Athanasius Byzantine Catholic Church. Divine Liturgy in on Sundays at 10 a.m. There are also liturgies during the week. More information to follow.

Fr. Sid used to criticize all the money spent on the new stadium when the old one wasn't even paid off yet. He thought waaaaay too much attention was paid to the Colts in Indy in comparison to the attention that should be paid to God.

Father Sid was right. It's good that the righteous can make use now of the devil's playhouse. The cross, a form of torture, became a source of salvation. Why not a distracting stadium?

Since the New York Giants and the New England Patriots will be playing in the Super Bowl, we expect a large number of fans with Eastern Catholic backgrounds to attend. St. Athanasius Church is only 1.8 miles from Lucas Oil Stadium and welcomes anyone to its liturgies during Super Bowl week or anytime. We have a Saturday Vigil liturgy and a Sunday morning liturgy at 10:00 a.m. with hospitality afterwards. We also offer weekday liturgies, Paraclesis and healing services. Please check the web site or call. www.saindy.com [saindy.com]
