Fr. Sid used to criticize all the money spent on the new stadium when the old one wasn't even paid off yet. He thought waaaaay too much attention was paid to the Colts in Indy in comparison to the attention that should be paid to God.

Father Sid was right. It's good that the righteous can make use now of the devil's playhouse. The cross, a form of torture, became a source of salvation. Why not a distracting stadium?

Since the New York Giants and the New England Patriots will be playing in the Super Bowl, we expect a large number of fans with Eastern Catholic backgrounds to attend. St. Athanasius Church is only 1.8 miles from Lucas Oil Stadium and welcomes anyone to its liturgies during Super Bowl week or anytime.
