My beloved aunt, Muriel, the last member of my family of her generation, reposed last evening. Her funeral will take place on Friday, my mother's (her sister's) birthday. Please beseech the Compassionate Tender of the Harvest to gather the pure wheat of her life, wafting away the chaff by the breeze of His tender love, into the heavenly granary of His Kingdom where there is no grief, no pain, no sighing, but Life everlasting!

May the memory of the Lord's handmaiden, Muriel, be eternal and may the Lord lead her to a place where there is neither suffering nor sighing, but only life everlasting.

It is so sad when the last member of a generation of our relatives passes away..it marks the passing of an era as well as the passing of persons dear to us...
May the Lord God grant rest unto His handmaiden Muriel, forgiving her all her sins and bringing her into His Kingdom. Amen.

I understand your feelings, since I have recently lost my 96 year old dear father, the last of his generation. I feel it is up to me now to carry on his generational memory. So much changed during his life, since 1915. From horse and buggy to space shuttle. As much as I miss him personally I miss his take on current things. My sympathies and my prayer is with you and yours

I am sorry, I made a faux pas. Muriel's relative was O'ets Nastoiatel"s, and thus my reply was for him or her. (Here I betray more ignorance.) Please have patience with me, I am still groping my way around the Forum. But I will soon master it as you all have done.
