Shlomo Iliana, I am happy to hear the news. Also, if you get the chance go visit Our Lady of Wisdom Italo-Greek Catholic Church at: 2120 Lindell Road (at O'Bannon, just north of Sahara), Las Vegas, NV 89146, Phone: (702) 873-5101
There service is also very wonderful.
Poosh BaShlomo, Yuhannon

Thank you all for your blessings. There is still much to learn about the church and the word of God. This has been a wonderful journey for my brother and I, considering we were not raised together as children but now we are being raised together in the same spiritual life.
God Bless.

I join with all of my brothers and sisters who have expressed joy at the conversion of your brother Iliana. May the Spirit guide and guard you both and prosper the work of your hands.

Say hello for me to Father Pipta, He was the priest I always looked to for every thing spiritual before I decided to convert to Orthodoxy, tell him Daniel from Fontana, says hello. It would be much appreciated.

Illiana:
I wish you and your brother the best as you continue to travel the spiritual road together. Fr Robert had mentioned your visits to St Gabriel.

Dear Iliana, Your spiritual relationship with your brother will illumine your natural one. The two of you will experience a closeness in the Lord that is enviable! Thanks be to God and the Mother of Guadalupe (have you seen the wonderful akathist to Our Lady of Guadalupe at the Town Hall? ). Just trying to be helpful . . . Alex

Deacon John,
I have been trying to gently convince my brother Michael to visit St. Gabriel's, but he is stubborn,I don't know if its the Sicilian bloodlines or his cancer, maybe next visit I will call the rectory.

james James, have Michael visit Our Lady of Wisdom, 2120 Lindell Road (at O'Bannon, just north of Sahara), Las Vegas, NV 89146, Phone: (702) 873-5101. The pastor is Fr Archimandrite Francis Vivona. Fr Francis is Italo-Greek Sicilian, I imagine they will get along just fine. The parish has a more Greek, rather than Slavic, liturgical usage. Fr Francis is known to serve Sicilian Vespers.

Daniel, may I ask why you converted to Orthodoxy? When my brother told an Orthodox friend that he was converting into Catholic, Byz Cath to be more specific, he answered:  "that's not Byzantine Catholic, that's Orthodox!"
We don't know what he meant, probably because is just the same, so my question is, why would people convert to Orthodox?

Sorry Alex, what do you mean?
Yes, La Gualaupana, La Guadalupana bajo al Tepeyac! By the way, our Blessed Mother brought me back to the road that goes to her son on 12/12/02. That's when my spiritual life and the love for Jesus Christ raised up!

Iliana,
Wonderful news about your brother's conversion.
May God grant you both many years,
Neil
