It's struck me more and more as China rises as a world economic power that the evangelization of Asia is critically needed at this time.

China has a forced abortion policy that is well known. Untold billions of innocent lives have been destroyed because of this policy. As if that weren't bad enough, religious rights and other human rights are highly restricted in China, and in other Asian countries like Vietnam and, of course, North Korea.

This is not to say the U.S. and the West is perfect. In fact, quite the opposite: the deteriorization of Western culture seems to me almost inevitable. That's the point: the dawn of the future of humanity - until the Second Coming - is in the East, and in Africa. I know what Christians are doing in Africa. and the evangelization efforts are succeeding (although a huge proportion of African Christians believe in the twisted "prosperity gospel" concept).

In Asia, too, I know the Church is growing, but I don't know where, and what progress is being made. This is meant to enlighten that topic, in specific regard to what you may know about the efforts of Eastern Christians in Asia.

I even know that the founder of the Neocatechumenal Way - which I don't know much about other than through Traditional Catholic websites which bitterly oppose it - discussed the importance of the evangelization of Asia, and the NCW is sending families and evangelists "there" in droves to lay the groundwork.

I hope and pray that the conversion en masse of most East Asians is in the future. Every other tribe and nation on Earth except the Indians and many East Asians. has been given the chance to accept the Gospel of Christ, even if some have long sense been under the dominion of another religion, like Islam. Early efforts by renowned saints were successful in Japan and China until government restrictions because of its precise power to change and radically effect East Asian society. Countless martyrs were produced in this way and Catholicism survived in pockets in both countries for centuries. But a true evangelization of their entire societies has yet to be accomplished.

Prospects?

I expect China will be evangelised by the Chinese. We in the West have little to offer them. Soon, they'll send missionaries here.
