Dear Constantine TG,
I'm following this tread with interest. I would be interested in the following two sub questions to your own question :
1-If you choose to convert to Orthodoxy, which Orthodox Church/jurisdiction did you choose?
2- What reason lead you to this Orthodox Church/jurisdiction?

I guess people that do convert to Orthodoxy will have various valid reasons, but I'm kind of curious( sorry for those that are offended by such curiosity) about which Orthodox Church people chose and why.

You expressed that the Orthodox priest you met said that Orthodoxy is only found in the Orthodox Church. That is not really surprising to me. Many Orthodox clergy said the same thing to me over the years.
I like most of the Orthodox Clergy that I personally know because they are bold and what they say is what it is.. not opinion or possibilities or "maybe" or "we will see about such and such question/interrogation" or "it depends"...
From my own personal experience(not the ultimate guideline!!) I have yet to meet a UGC priest who can give me a definite/clear answer. Having said this, I'm not saying that such UGC clergy does not exists, I'm just saying, I've never met one.

Over the years, discussions with Orthodox clergy have enriched my understanding of my own faith. There is much to learn from them in my humble opinion.

The priest I spoke with is OCA, and for me if I become Orthodox that is where I would go. In fact, I do with there is a Catholic OCA, you know, a Church that is not heavily ethnic or at least ethnic but local. I am not North American (I'm in Canada) but at least I can accept the culture her because this is where I live. It's hard to blend into a culture which is neither your background nor the place where you live. This is not to take anything against those people, they have every right to preserve their culture and their faith. But its difficult for the likes of me who is a foreigner. In fact, I am a foreigner twice, on the land and in the Church.
