Hello!

I'm Tereso Raymundo Garcia from the Philippines.
I am a Latin-rite Catholis but is studying Eastern Christianity for quite some time now.
I am fully aware that I have much to learn and know more about the faith.

One of the things that has attracted me most is the veneration of holy Icons.
And the use of vigil lamps to illumine the holy Icons.

I have been searching the internet for hanging vigil lamps for our altar.
These items are very hard to come by here in our country.

I am looking for Hanging Vigil Lamps and their supplies.

May I inquire and ask for items you might be able to suggest.
I understand that these items are of considerable amount, that is why I am looking for the lowest priced there is.

Thank you very much!

Hi Terry,

Welcome to the forums. It's nice to have another member from the Philippines. We have a couple of Filipino members currently who live in either the US or Canada and are active posters, as well as several long-time members, from both back in the Philippines and here, who used to be very active but only post occasionally at present.

Both our Catholic and Orthodox members are always glad to answer any questions that you might have and I'm sure someone will be able to offer some sources for lampadas.

Many years,

Neil

You could try Holoviak's Church Supply [holoviak.com] in Berwick, PA

I have seen hanging lamps among their product offerings

Tereso:
Magandang umaga!
We had an icon of the Trinity at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Makati. We bought a hanging wooden candle holder for it at one of the handicraft shops in Manila, perhaps Balikbayan. Our icon was also from one of the Roman Catholic religious supply houses in Quezon City, so you don't have to go too far.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
There is a wide range of vigil lamps here
http://www.istok.net/search.php?mode=search&page=1

They are a reputable company which has been around for a while. I ordered vestments from them and was happy with them, except the Orarion was shorter than I was expecting.

Dear Fr Deacon Paul,

Thank you very much for the link.
I have viewed the products they offer.
They really are beautiful, and a little expensive too.

They have very nice selections, I will try to inquire with them and find out the best deals they can offer.

Thanks again!
