Hello!

I happen to live on a corner lot at the very opening of a development. This makes my house popular for trick-or-treaters, magazine subscription salesmen, school club fund-raisers, ... and evangelizers of all stripes.

I've heard of people stocking "counter-pamphlets" for Protestants and Mormons and such that come to the door. I can't find any good Eastern Catholic evangelical pamphlets or mini-booklets. Is anyone aware of any?

Thanks,
Booth

I know the Melties have produced a series of them and I have posted information about them before. Unfortunately I can't find a link to them right now. They are not called pamphlets or brochures, but something else. You purchase a master copy from them and then you can make as many photocopies as you would like. They are a wonderful series!

Forgive me. I was just heading out the door to go to Liturgy earlier when I typed the above post. Of course, I meant to type "Melkites" and not Melties.

Booth - the Byzantine Seminary Press has produced a Byzantine Leaflet Series [byzantineseminarypress.com] on various subjects from an Eastern Catholic / Byzantine Rite / Carpatho-Rusyn perspective. This is the first thing that came to mind that might meet your definition of "counter pamplet". Many churches stock these for the congregation and visitors alike.

I combed through the Melkite eparchy website and I can no longer find the "Leaflet Masters" series they used to produce. The link I used in a posting early this year no longer works, so I assume they have discontinued the series. The series from Byzantine Seminary Press looks good though!

Upon my first visit to a Ruthenian Parish, I was literally shown a counter that contained SEVERAL pamphlets about Eastern Catholics and the Parish.

I know this is a response to a rather old thread, but the Melkite Eparchy website was reorganized several years ago and the leaflet masters are available there: Leaflet Masters [melkite.org]

Our parish in Atlanta has many of these printed out. They're very handy.
