August draws near and I can't find my prayer for the blessing of honey  . I'm unsure whether this is done outside Russian Orthodoxy, but hope someone here can help before the feast of the All-Merciful Saviour arrives. Spasi Khristos!

It would be useful to have both, so that I can pass the English to my priestly neighbour five doors away. He only operates in English.

The origin is that in some climates the hives are ready to be "robbed" at this time of the year. Some Ukrainian Greek Catholic and Orthodox parishes also have the tradition of the Medoviy Spas/Медовий Спас. I think Archpriest Roman Galadza may have a Youtube video of this blessing at St. Elias. The prayer for the blessing of honey is in several Ukrainian editions of the Trebnik: Всемогутній, Вічний Боже, благословенним є все те, що Ти створив, і немає нічого поганого в усьому, що ми вдячно приймаємо з Твоїх рук, бо Твоє Слово й молитва Церкви все освячують. Ми любимо Тебе, славимо Тебе, поклоняємося Тобі, подяку складаємо Тобі, бо велика є слава Твоя, сила і доброта Твоя. Через заступництво святого Климента, якого Церква визнає покровителем бджільництва, благослови цей мед. Щоб усі, хто з Твоєї Волі його споживатиме, зростали у вірі та отримували Твою допомогу й підтримку через Ісуса Христа, Господа і Спасителя нашого. Амінь

St Clement as the patron of bee-keepers is something new to me. In the Russian tradition (Old Rite, at least - don't know about New) it's Sts Zosima and Savatii.

I've heard two versions, one that St. Clement of Rome largely subsisted on honey during his exile in Kherson and the other (and more plausable) is that the Clement referred to in the blessing prayer is actually St. Clement of Alexandria who used references to bees in several places in his catechesis.

Prayer to Bless New Honey
Let us pray to the Lord. Lord, have mercy.
O Lord Jesus Christ, Whose mercies cannot be contained and Whose bounties are ineffable; Who are wondrous in glory and Who works miracles, Who by the operation of the Holy Spirit once blessed Israel and nourished them with honey from a rock: As the same Lord, look down now from above on this Your work, and with Your heavenly blessing bless and consecrate this honeycomb and the honey that comes from it. Grant to it the action of a blessings beyond all perfection, so that all tasting of it, receiving it and eating it, may find good health, and by this nourishment be satisfied and filled with all good things. For You are He Who bestows all good things, and to You we ascribe glory, together with Your Father Who is without beginning, and Your Most-holy, Good and Life-creating Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
And he sprinkles the honeycomb with Holy Water, saying:
This honey is sanctified by the sprinkling of this Holy Water, in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

In the Hamtramck Euchologion (Trebnyk) there is a blessing for bees and their hives to be found on page 359. It focusses on the production of wax for candles rather than honey.
