Hello!

Can anyone assist?

For a project, I've gotten a copy of a 1941 Confraternity New Testament. But I need to compare a couple of passages in the Old Testament, and it seems that the OTs are quite rare and pricey. And there doesn't even appear to be an on-line version!

If anyone happens to have a Confraternity OT, would you mind terribly sharing these verses?

Numbers 12:3

Psalm 146:1-5
(In case the numbering is different, it begins "Praise ye the Lord, because psalm is good ... ")

Isaias 56:6-7

Many thanks in advance!

Booth

I have a 1949 edition. If that will help, I'll transcribe them for you.

Here they are but I have a new caveat. I just read the more detailed description page of sources. The copyright of this work is 1949 but for they note:

The Old Testament Douay Version with newly edited annotations of Bishop Challoner and New translation of the book of Psalms from the New Latin Version approved by Poe Pius XII

The New Testament Confraternity Edition a revison of the Challoner-Rheims version edited by catholic scholars under the patronage of the episcopal committee of the Confraternity of Christine Doctrine.

The provisions therefor of canon 1391 have been completely complied with in all parts of this edition.

Imprimatur: Francis Cardinal Spellman Archbishop of NY September 14, 1948

copyright 1949 Catholic book publishing company

Numbers 12:3
(for Moses was a man exceeding meek above all men that dwelt upon the earth)

Psalm 146
Thanksgiving for Deliverance

1 Alleluia.
Praise ye the Lord, for he is good, sing praises to our God, for he is lovable: praise becomes him. 2 The lord builds up Jerusalem, he gathers together the dispersed of Israel; 3 he himself heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds. 4 He firxes the number of the stars, and calls each by name. 5 Great is the lord and might in strngth, his wisdom is without measure.

verse 6 in this paragraph then next paragraph with verse 7.

Isaias 56:6-7
Paragraph begins at verse 3 ends with verse 7

6 And the children of the stranger that adhere to the Lord, to whorship him, and to love his name, to be his servants: everyone that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and that holdeth fast my covenant, 7 I will bring them into my holy mount, and will make them joyful in my house of prayer. Their holocausts and their victims shall please me upon my altar, for my house shall be called the house of prayer, for all nations.
