There is hope for the future - and it lies within the hearts and souls of our young people - Orthodox or BCC. Camp Nazareth has been a focal point for our little Diocese since its founding in the late 1970's under the guidance of the late Bishop John and then brought to full maturity with the construction of the beautiful Carpatho-Rusyn style Church of SS. Cyril and Methodius in 2003 through the steady hand of the late Metropolitan Nicholas.

The evolution of and investment in Camp Nazareth is truly noteworthy and something to be emulated. There is no substitute for getting our youth to identify with their faith and to see themselves as having an active life in their church community. I am always amazed by the videos and photos from Camp Nazareth activities, which always seem very well attended and well organized. Many years to all those who have made and will continue to make this youth ministry such an important part of the life of ACROD.

Camp Nazareth is an amazing place and under the direction of an outstanding priest, Father Stephen. Archbishop Nicholas and Archbishop Basil had worked out a program where the Byzantine Catholics also have taken advantage of Camp Nazareth. I hope Archbishop Nicholas' successor will continue the out reach to the youth which Camp Nazareth has so wonderfully done.
