And let me be perfectly clear: I encourage tithing by teaching and example as a response to the Gospel (cf Ephesians 2:10-14)....and it should be evident from my posts that I have no stomach for Pelagians of any stripe.

Wow! All us Greek Catholics and Orthodox are at least "semi-Pelagians" by the lights of scholastic theologians.

But certainly not denounced as such in the Book of Concord. Indeed, the Greek (Orthodox) understanding of the Mass as Sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving is praised in the very section where the Roman understanding is condemned.
