Dear fellow Forum members,

This Tuesday (Sept. 18th), I will be leading an 11-day pilgrimage to Israel and Jordan. I kindly ask for your prayers for the 30 pilgrims who will be going.

This is my first time traveling to the Holy Land, so I am quite excited.

In particular, I hope to visit St. Mary Magdalene Church, where the relics of St. Elizabeth Feodorovna are enshrined. I am bringing a beautiful icon of St. Elizabeth which I would like to touch to her relics. Please pray this happens.

If any of you have traveled to the Holy Land and have any tips or advice to give, it will be greatly appreciated.

Take care,

GC

May God be gracious to you, and bless you; let His face shine upon you, and have mercy on you. O Son of God, risen from the dead, save him on his journey, as he sings to You: Alleluia!

Dear Griego Catolico

C Bohom / Go with God!

Prayers are offered for a safe and holy trip.
And, as my mother used to say so often, " Come back safe" or "ja tobi dam"/"I'll give it to you!!!!"

Lord God our Father,
you kept Abraham and Sarah in safety throughout the days of their pilgrimage,
you led the children of Israel through the midst of the sea,
and by a star you led the Wise Men to the infant Jesus.
Protect and guide us now in this time as we set out to travel,
make our ways safe and our homecomings joyful,
and bring us at last to our heavenly home,
where you dwell in glory with your Son and the Holy Spirit,
God forever.

And thank you so much for remembering us in your prayers there as well! (And esp. those of us who venerate Saints Elizabeth and Barbara).

Prayers for the safe journey and return of our brother, GC, and his fellow travelers and prayers that their experience be spiritually rewarding to them and an enjoyable adventure as well.

Thank you to all of you who remembered us, the 30 pilgrims, in your prayers.

Words cannot describe the experience we had being in the Holy Land.

Unfortunately, I was not able to visit the Church of St. Mary Magdalene (it was closed during the day we were in the area), but it was quite impressive for me to see the shining golden domes of the church. All the more reason to return to the Holy Land again.
