Hi all I really have been enjoying this forum. I did not see an introduction section.

Do to various reasons my family and I left the Episcopal Church. We were very orthodox high church Anglicans. We have visited a few parishes since July. After a wonderful talk with one priest he offered to bring us into the church. Not that we are not wanting to, but we have not as of yet made any decision. We are still exploring.

Today we plan on attending St. Basil the Great in Irving Texas. We are looking forward to the experience. This will be our second experience with a byzantine church.

We are very much looking forward to today's service.

Welcome to the forum! I don't post that much, so I'm not sure I could be a huge help, but I just want to say welcome!

I live up in Ohio and attend church just across the river in West Virginia. We have some friends that attend St. Basil's. I'm sure you will find the people there friendly and welcoming! Also, if you have children - they are very child friendly there. Hope you had a good experience.

Thanks guys. Yes we did enjoy our visit, and are looking forward to this Sunday. St. Basil's is a neat place. Looking forward to getting to know some people.
