Please offer a prayer for Kimberly Scott, and Kenneth Lynn, and William Rhodes, Jr., who were shot Friday in a rampage right in my backyard. Mrs. Scott was decorating her church hall for a children's Christmas party when bullits came through the door and took her life. Ironically, the pastor of that church had died a few days before and was buried the day before. The two gentlemen were killed in the open along Juniata Valley Road.

With the souls of the righteous, give rest, O Savior, to the souls of Your servants departed, in a place of brightness, a place of green pastures, a place of rest, from whence all sickness, sorrow, and sighing have fled away and where the sight of Your Face enlightens and gladdens and sanctifies that life of Yours which is lived by the saints whom You have gathered from all the ages. Grant them Your Heavenly Kingdom and a portion in Your ineffable and eternal blessings and the enjoyment of Your unending life. Hear our prayer, O Lord, for You are merciful and compassionate and You love mankind, and unto to You are due all glory, honor, and worship, together with your Father Who is from everlasting and Your all-Holy, Good and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. AMEN.

Lord have mercy!

Lord have mercy on the souls of those taken in violence, without the opportunity to prepare themselves.

Lord have mercy on those who are possessed by the evil one to act out in random acts of killing.

When will the demonic madness stop?

When we turn to the Lord in sincere repentance for all the evil our society has done; when we stop defrauding each other; when we stop killing the unborn; when we stop glorifying violence; when we stop wars around the world; when we stop trying to change our children with social engineering in the schools; when any number of other things too numerous to list are reversed.

Lord, send Your Holy Spirit into our midst to lead us back from the evil we have wallowed in as a society.

Now that we are heading towards the day of the Divine Lord being born into our hearts come tomorrow night into Tuesday, we should hold the baby Jesus in our hearts and spirits, and make sure that He will indeed bring new spiritual life into all that ails this world.

How long?

Until we kneel with the simplicity and humility of the shepherds,
until we offer our treasure with the self-abandonment of the kings,
until we offer our very lives with innocence and completeness of the children of Bethlehem.

I like OLS can only whisper LORD HAVE MERCY! Our world is in travail, until the heart of man is changed, have for on us oh God, that by your grace our eyes can/will be opened to our own foolish pride.

May the memories of Kimberly, Kenneth, and William be eternal and may God give comfort to their families who will be particularly distressed given their demise at this holy season, which should be a time of joy for all.

I've been praying for those victims and their families that happened right down the road from me and all I can think of is that could of been any of us at that moment of time doing what we do in our every day lives, getting ready for the celebration of christmas and time with family. All I could think of is when was the last time they said to each other they loved them. when tragedy strikes close to home it sure shakes up your faith. I pray for all the recent victims of these tragedies and May their memories be eternal.
