Hello,

I live near Altoona, Pa and my church is Antiohcian Orthodox and bc of our syro-lebanese background we always celebrated Christmas on December 25th, but with my mixed roots, I also have celebrated the old christmas on January 7th each year. I usually go to Christ the Savior in Johnstown, Pa but I wanted to know if some of the churches near elmora, pa or hawk run, pa still celebrate on Januar 7th. Any information would be greatly appreciated thankyou !

Well, since you mention Johnstown, I see that there is a Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the area, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish. I'm assuming they probably worship on the old calendar, perhaps you could check to see.

EDIT: Oops, I found out there's another Sts. Peter and Paul UOC in Bakerton-Elmora, wasn't that the area that you wanted? Check to see their schedule, too, whilst you're at it.

EDIT #2: Oh-ho! I found an ACROD Parish in Hawk Run... St. John the Baptist Parish. Here's that directory:

Hawk Run is probably on the old calendar as far as I know, but I think that Johnstown is probably closer to Altoona than is Hawk Run. There are small ACROD parishes in Wood and Huntington, PA but I believe that are new calendar. You would have to contact the pastor from the ACROD or UOC directories to find out for certain.
