Hello,

I live near Altoona, Pa and my church is Antiohcian Orthodox and bc of our syro-lebanese background we always celebrated Christmas on December 25th, but with my mixed roots, I also have celebrated the old christmas on January 7th each year. I usually go to Christ the Savior in Johnstown, Pa but I wanted to know if some of the churches near elmora, pa or hawk run, pa still celebrate on Januar 7th. Any information would be greatly appreciated thankyou smile!

Well, since you mention Johnstown, I see that there is a Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the area, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish. I'm assuming they probably worship on the old calendar, perhaps you could check to see.

EDIT: Oops, I found out there's another Sts. Peter and Paul UOC in Bakerton-Elmora, wasn't that the area that you wanted? Check to see their schedule, too, whilst you're at it.

Here's the directory in which I'm finding this from, anyway:

EDIT #2: Oh-ho! I found an ACROD Parish in Hawk Run... St. John the Baptist Parish. Here's that directory:

Hawk Run is probably on the old calendar as far as I know, but I think that Johnstown is probably closer to Altoona than is Hawk Run. There are small ACROD parishes in Wood and Huntington, PA but I believe that are new calendar. You would have to contact the pastor from the ACROD or UOC directories to find out for certain.
