With the souls of the righteous, give rest, O Savior, to the soul of Your servant departed, in a place of brightness, a place of green pastures, a place of repose, from whence all sickness, sorrow, and sighing have fled away and where the sight of Your Face enlightens and gladdens and sanctifies that life of Yours which is lived by the saints whom You have gathered from all the ages. Grant him Your Heavenly Kingdom and a portion in Your ineffable and eternal blessings and the enjoyment of Your unending life. Hear our prayer, O Lord, for You are merciful and compassionate and You love mankind, and unto to You are due all glory, honor, and worship, together with your Father Who is from everlasting and Your all-Holy, Good and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. AMEN.

Grant, O Lord, Your mercy to the family left behind. May they know Your Gentle Healing as they continue their pilgrimage without the love and support of this loved one. Through the prayers of the Mother of God, O Savior, hear and answer our prayers for Pani Rose and her family. Amen.

Almighty God,
we remember before you today your faithful servant Graham;
and we pray that,
having opened to him the gates of larger life,
you will receive him more and more into your joyful service,
that,
with all who have faithfully served you in the past,
he may share in the eternal victory of Jesus Christ,
the Risen Lord,
AMEN.

LOVE YOU GUYS & GALS wink

You know yesterday was interesting. I told you in another post that my dad made an odd statement back several months ago about Baptism. So I checked with a Latin Rite priest to see if I could Baptise him to be sure. He told me yes. So when I did, my oldest son was with me, and there had been a good bit of I'll will because of all my dad's stupid shenanigans over these last few years. Immediately, I mean IMMEDIATELY, my son reached out to grab his granddads hand and told him he loved him. I got my daughter on the phone, and the same thing happened between them. I was so excited and thank God.

Then yesterday, my daughter went to confession after Mass. She lives outside NO, no Eastern Rite Church close by. Anyway, she told father everything that has gone on these last years with my dad, her anger, and hurt. She said she felt she had to go for both if them. At the VERY end of her confession, father told her because of my Baptising my dad, all his sins had passed away. SHE SAID SUDDENLY EVERYTHING BECAME VERY PROFOUND!

IT WAS THE TIME OF MY DAD'S FALLING ASLEEP!

you know, I wasn't thinking when the words of his about Baptism, kept bugging me, eating away at me of sorts, that God had truly answered my prayer. My prayer had been that somehow before he died, this ol' staunch Southern Baptist, would somehow become Catholic.

Oh my! God really did answer my prayer!

As the Tanzanian Christians say:

God is good.
All the time.
All the time.
God is good.

"O give thanks unto the Lord for He is good, and His mercy endureth forever Alleluia!"

With the souls of the righteous, give rest, O Lord, to the soul of Your servant, Graham, in a place of brightness, a place of green pastures, a place of repose, where there is neither sorrow nor sighing, but only life everlasting. Forgive him all his sins of word or deed, for You are all merciful and love mankind, and unto to You are due all glory, honor, and worship, together with your Father Who is from everlasting and Your all-Holy, Good and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages.

May his memory be eternal and may our beloved sister and friend, Rose, and all of her family be comforted in the prayerful expectation of being reunited with him in the hereafter.
