Dear All:

I am curious as to where I might find a translation of the 1970 (or later) Roman Missal ("Novus Ordo") in the Ukrainian vernacular. I know it is used in Roman churches in Ukraine, but in all of my liturgical studies and readings, I have never come across one. However, I've never really looked before. Just an item to have reference to that I think would be interesting. Thanks in advance.

God bless you,

Fr. Joe

Perhaps someone at that site could be of assistance.

Father Joe,

From the site David posted, referring to the Mass celebrated by Pope John Paul in 2001, during his visit to Ukraine:

But most important of all was the use of Ukrainian in the Latin Rite liturgy. "Until now the Ukrainian texts for the Latin Rite have only been provisional", says Fr. Kszystof Homa, a Jesuit teaching at the Lviv Theological Academy. "The use of these texts by the Holy Father now gives them a new status."
This suggests to me that it may yet be difficult to find commercially available texts.

Many years,
