Thanks, Alice. How lovely, and yet how sad at the same time, given how the expression of such faith and wisdom is met with today in our secular culture. Not that we don't see the difference between now and then, those of us old enough to remember, but things like this make it so vivid and concrete.

In the area of entertainment, I've had a similar experience watching some of the old movies from the 40s and the 50s. Hollywood's positive portrayal then of Christian faith and values is quite a contrast compared with what we see today.
