Prayers for everybody affected by the storm.

Don't blame the boys, blame the culture that is afraid to let children out of our sight and won't allow children to have any sort of responsibility until they are 18!

(Of course, once they turn 18, we expect them to behave as responsible adults, even though we have not given them any sort of opportunity to shoulder appropriate responsibility.)

I grew up in an urban neighborhood where all the younger folks teamed together to take care of the older folks and to clear our block curb to curb to allow for plenty of parking and avoid the "parking space wars" which frequently follow deep snows.

I've carried that ethic to the rural area where I now live-- the neighbors here had that same ethic all along. If I see a neighbor struggling with a small garden tractor & blade when I out with the two-stage mounted snowblower of course I'm going to help him out.
